January recap

Catching up from 6 months ago, with a cuppa coffee and a selfie from me, Lillian and Maggie!

Her paci.  It stays in her bed since she IS 3 year old and probably shouldn't have one anymore.  We have a firm pact to get rid of the paci by kindergarten.  #3rdkidproblems
Since she can't take it out of her bed, this is actually how I found her recently.  Technically it was still IN the bed...

It was cold like 2 days here in Texas.  One this particular cold day we were staying home to do laundry and housework when our day took a left turn.  We decided on a tea party. This idea turns into something that resembles the book "If you give a Mouse a Cookie

Well, it's not a tea party without real "tea" (water) and to prevent a giant mess, I brought her pool inside to contain it.

She's an excellent host.  You know, in  a mad hatter sort of way!  She pours your cup full and just keeps on pouring!

She then decided that if she was going to get wet from the overflowing cups, she needed her swimsuit on.  Because pool = swimsuit.

Who knew Minnie ears could also be used as a fashionable belt accessory.

Then if you're wearing your swimsuit in January and the pool is inside, clearly slime is needed to up the mess factor.  It's actually just cornstarch and water but the pool was moved into my bathroom so a quick cleanup could happen.

Like I said earlier, there was laundry to be done, and bathrooms that needed cleaning but instead I sat and enjoyed watching my little mouse make an epic mess while I continued to ignore mine.

I didn't even make the bed.  That's unheard of, sometimes I try making it on top of Jason because I can't stand it being unmade.

The MESS was a lot of fun and afterwards, the milky bath was pretty fun too!

Who says you can't swim in January?!  Actually in Texas...you can.  See below.

But there WAS two COLD days in Texas.  No, really, it was COLD COLD.  But it was just 2 days.  I can handle 2 days.  We jokingly say: I survived Winter 2017.

But this is how you dress for Texas Winter.  In case you needed to know, ya know, for those 2 days a year.

Lil has been cruising the neighborhood and picking up her favorite wing man Ollie.

Lincoln has found a new favorite place to sleep.  He regularly asks me to sleep in my corner.  He loves to make a "nest" of pillows and sleep in the corner beside my bed.  It's pretty adorable.

Oh Belle!  With the release of the new movie, Lillian has been OBSESSED with belle.  Miss Marie sent her this dress and she wakes up in the morning putting it on.  She's even been known to nap in it.  Now she also has a belle nightgown so she can be belle both day and night!

Just another windy Sunday in my monogrammed magenta dress!

Slide races after school!

We have a bald eagle baby!  Washington was born in January and we have watched him grow and now fly off and leave the nest.  He was born in a huge nest near our church.

This is our weekly spin on the carousel after Barnes and Noble story time!

Lincoln had a 100 days of school project.  I actually thought of this one ALL on my own.  Amazon of course came through with the tiles but the crossword puzzle was all me!
Just call me a pinterest one hit wonder!

I took a much needed girls night to Austin, TX.  I had wanted to go there since we moved to Texas.  I am so glad I finally got the chance to go with these girls!  It was a fast and furious 24 hour trip but we made the MOST of it!

Not only is she belle but she's also cinderella.  Glass slippers and all!

How is this guy almost as tall as me?  And his foot size has long surpassed mine.

See!  I told you, you could swim in January.   It hit mid 80's by the end of January so we had a little playdate with the splashpad!

And last but not least, presenting Snow White.  She asked me to order her this dress and then she asked me EVERY SINGLE DAY when we checked mail if it had come yet.  Oh happy day when it finally arrived!
